So, Xbox One is arriving in just 5 days and many people just can’t wait to put their hands on the new toy, so am I, but I am more curious of how Kinect 2.0 will look in comparison to the 360 Kinect. Now thanks to an image from imgur we got a have a full view and full understanding in the difference between 360 Kinect and Xbox One Kinect 2.0. Check out the image below.

As you can see Kinect 2.0 is much smaller than its brother 360 Kinect, also as we see Kinect 2.0 looks totally different from 360 Kinect version, now we got only one eye in Kinect 2.0 instead of the 3 ones in 360 Kinect. In my opinion Kinect 2.0 is much better than 360 Kinect.

Kinect 2.0 Technology Is Amazing but Not Perfect

screen shot 2013-05-21 at 1.07.31 pm

Since the day we heard about the Kinect 2.0, we knew that it will be a new generation of connecting with people and playing games together or alone. The previous Kinect was just the beginning of the revolution in gaming  console. The Kinect 2.0 is not perfect and it might take few years more before it will be better but as of now its amazing. Microsoft manged to learn the new technology pretty quickly and manged to make it easy for us to use it. The best improvement in Kinect is probably the voice commands, Microsoft had improved by a huge quantity, in fact we now see an improvement in the Kinect  by up to 88 per cent, if you managed to learn the technology it might seem to you that the Kinect has been improved by 100 per cent. Not all might consider a 100 per cent improvement but most of us could be sure that it’s a 80 – 85 per cent improved.

Microsoft’s shows off Xbox One’s awesome UI

Microsoft latest video is focused on the Kinect-controlled UI. The video which was recorded November 1st  using live Xbox One code, which now shows us that the rumors we heard about Microsoft having issues with recording the interface were just an excuse for the company. Then we saw  Yusuf Mehdi and Marc Whitten using a host of functions and effortlessly switching between applications by just using voice commands. There were other cool features like Skype following the character around the room  while only using software and not moving the camera. Take a look for your self below.

PDP Adds Privacy Screen to Kinect Stand

One of Microsoft Xbox One  Accessories manufacturer PDP has announced a new stand for your Xbox One Kinect sensor, that comes with a privacy screen, interesting new feature. The stand works some what like that, when you place the stand on top of your TV and slide over a screen, you will prevent the RBG and IR cameras recording or show you to ” scary people.” Though if your lazy and don’t like getting up from your sofa you can disable Kinect from the setting menu, still its a very interesting feature for the Kinect.

Xbox One Kinect shrinks minimum distance requirement to 4.6 feet

Microsoft had said before that it had improved the Kinect on the Xbox one  and apparently they kept the word. According to a leaked setup manual  that indicates how little space it requires to operate. The PDF was first spotted by NeoGAF and they had noted that minimum 1.4 meters (just over 4.5-feet) between the user and Microsoft’s new do-all sensor is all that’s required.

That a good thing for people who live in small living space because now you don’t need that much  space for your Kinect.

Xbox One reserves 10 per cent of GPU power for multitasking

According to Xbox One engineer Andrew Goossen, who told Eurogamer,

“Xbox One has a conservative 10 per cent time-sliced reservation on the GPU for system processing. This is used both for the GPGPU processing for Kinect and for the rendering of concurrent system content such as snap mode.”

He explains ;

“The current reservation provides strong isolation between the title and the system and simplifies game development – strong isolation means that the system workloads, which are variable, won’t perturb the performance of the game rendering.”

Not long ago Microsoft had confirmed that the Xbox one will have a higher CPU then it was planed in the beginning. From 1.6 GHz to 1.75 GHz.

Goossen said that developers will soon notice a higher system resource.

For the final words Goossen said;

“In the future, we plan to open up more options to developers to access this GPU reservation time while maintaining full system functionality,”

New Kinect can understand two people talking at once

This is a new feature that Microsoft is adding to the Kinect. The feature allows Kinect to understand two people talking at once which is amazing because now you don’t need to take turns when one of you decides to talk  , now both of you can talk at once.

“It can not only hear two people speaking at once and understand two people speaking at once,” said New Technology Lead Developer Nick Burton, “It can also see if their mouths are moving in a completely dark room. And that allows us to do crazy levels of detail.”

Oh My God, it worth getting the Kinect for this, its amazing because now even if you scream at each other the kinect will still understand both of.
